Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods
Do you watch episodes of “Leave it to Beaver” or “I Love Lucy” and wish that neighbors were as friendly and connected now as they were back then? Well now is the time to make that dream a reality!

Community leaders from 11 neighborhoods - Canyon Trails, Cottonflower, Estrella, Estrella Vista, Historic Goodyear, North Subdivision, Palm Valley II & III, Rancho Mirage, Sarival Village, Sunrise at Wigwam, and Wildflower will partner with the City of Goodyear to hold its annual G.A.I.N. event on Saturday, October 20 th at 5:00 pm at the Goodyear Community Park. This is the perfect opportunity for you to come out and mingle with your neighbors! G.A.I.N. stands for Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods and it is a statewide event that is held in most Arizona cities and towns during the month of October. The goal of G.A.I.N. is to strengthen communities by encouraging neighbors to meet each other and also to promote safer neighborhoods.

It will be a community-wide picnic complete with food, games, kid activities, and the chance to hear from your Goodyear City Officials and to increase your awareness about various safety and prevention programs from Police, Fire, Water and Community Services. This year's Co-Presenting Sponsors are BK Homes and Southwest Ambulance with additional sponsorship support from APS, Cleveland Indians and Crossings Church.

We welcome the participation of additional neighborhoods. For more information, or to volunteer to join the planning committee and represent your neighborhood, please contact Judi Switanek Volunteer Coordinator, City of Goodyear , 623.882.7808,
